QUEUING FOR ART'S SAKE Phespirit's primary motive for visiting Paris was his desire to see certain works in the Louvre. An early Sunday start guaranteed Phespirit a swift admittance; upon his re-emergence into the midday sunlight, the queue looked to be well over half a kilometre long.
L'HOMME PHESPIRIT Our hero stands astride all Paris on the second level of the Eiffel Tower. Having scaled in excess of seven hundred steps, this was Phespirit's limit; Americans, Germans and Japanese were left to fight it out for the elevator to the top.
