Phespirit goes to Slovenia

SYMPATHY FOR LJUBLJANA Phespirit was disappointed not to unearth any rare early Eighties punk-era Laibach CDs in the Ljubljana record shops. Ultimately he settled for a copy of the epic "Sympathy For The Devil" - eight thumping versions of the Rolling Stone's classic - plus last year's "ID" by Siddharta.
LIPIZZANERS IN LIPICA The leaping Lipizzaner in the photograph proceeds to flick its hind legs up to head height and click its hooves together. Who amongst us can match that? Extraordinary.
LAKE BOHINJ Venue for Phespirit's debut swim up in the Julian Alps.  Guess what?  It was cold. The scenery around this 4.5km lake, at the heart of Triglav National Park in north-west Slovenia, is quite quite beautiful.
