BATISTA'S OFFICE From this office the Imperialist-sponsored dictator, Fulgencio Batista, presided over a harsh regime of barbarity, corruption and brutal repression prior to the revolution. Now Fidel Castro denies the Cuban people democratic elections, certain freedoms of expression, and will not get into bed with America. He has a different office, though.
THE STEELY GAZE OF CHE Che, the icon, is to be seen everywhere in Cuba. Che died young and lives forever. Here he turns up on the side of a ministry building at the perimeter of the Plaza de la Revolución.
