Eurostar is a great convenience for the traveller from the U.K. who fancies a change from flying but who cannot stomach the thought of a choppy Channel ferry crossing.

And there are bonuses such as this.

No flight between London and Amsterdam would stop off for break in Brussels halfway along. And whilst a flight only takes a fraction of the time needed for the full train journey, this way gives a much greater sense of travelling, and this is travelling after all.
