TABLE MOUNTAIN / TABLE BAY ..... as seen from Milnerton Beach. This is surely one of the most immediately recognisable natural skylines in the world.
A NICE CLEAN TABLECLOTH And here is the covered mountain as seen from the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront. The regenerated waterfront is a marvellous place for nice little craft shops, restaurants and bizarre street performers; for example, that black-clad woman who plays Ministry cassettes while hula-hooping fire for small children. Now that is subversive .....
THE VIEW FROM THE TOP The Rock Hyrax, or "Dassie", is a resident of Table Mountain, a loiterer wherever folks congregate to eat and, by all accounts, the closest living relative of the elephant. Phespirit failed to find any of the Himalayan Mountain Goats which allegedly roam here, but did see a pair of Lesser Doublecollared Sunbirds, as flash as their name suggests.
