SHE-WOLF
It may not be the most refined piece of art in Rome, but as an icon for the whole city its place is undisputed.
The She-Wolf is an Etruscan bronze from the early 5th century BC. The baby twins, Romulus and Remus, are 15th century.
See it at the Palazzo dei Conservatori.
THE CARAVAGGIO CHASE
The works of Caravaggio are to be found all around the city. These three are huddled in a gloomy corner of San Luigi dei Francesi.

THE PROTESTANT CEMETERY
Here is the grave of John Keats, not that it says so on the bitter inscription. A nearby plaque has a more personalised tribute.
Here too is a black cat snuggling down on the old young poet's bones, plus the white pyramid of Caius Cestius behind the trees.
