A SIGN IN THE PARK
Estonians are surely the most considerate drivers in Europe. In Tallinn, they pull up to let pedestrians cross the road, irrespective of whether it is a proper crossing point.
In Kadriorg Park they are alert for squirrels.

A SIGN IN THE PAVING
In the seventeenth century, a priest named Panicke complained that the omelette he'd ordered in a Tallinn inn was as 'hard as the sole of a shoe' - he sent it back.
After receiving another two such omelettes he killed the waitress with an axe.
He was beheaded here in the town square.
