STAR FERRY PIER

The Meridian Star ferry nudges into Victoria Harbour on its way to Kowloon. Behind, the 300m knife-like outline of the Bank of China building. To the right is the box-like Cheung Kong Centre. Further to the right is Norman Foster's hi-tech HSBC building.

Classic Hong Kong.

MAN MO TEMPLE

This particular Man Mo Temple, situated on Hollywood Road, was built in 1847.

It is the oldest temple in Hong Kong.

NOTE: 'Man Mo' is a Taoist temple dedicated to:
The God of Literature, Man Cheung
The God of War, Kwan Yu.
'Man' = literature; 'Mo' = art of war.

KOWLOON NATHAN ROAD

Nathan Road is the busiest shopping street in Hong Kong. It passes through the middle of Kowloon from Tsim Sha Tsui harbour.

Here it is in all its nocturnal neon glory.
