Phespirit goes to Andorra
Arinsal     June/July 2003

ARINSAL - 1450m

Phespirit went on an epic walk from Arinsal to Pic de Coma Pedrosa - the highest peak in Andorra - and back again, all in one day.

Observe Hotel Solana from where he set off at 9:25am, returning again at 7:00pm.

Arinsal, Andorra: Arinsal - 1450m.

AIGÜES JUNTES - 1790m

There are two identical bridges which follow in close succession at Aigües Juntes.

The first one crosses the Pla de l'Estany.

The second one - shown here - crosses the Coma Pedrosa cascades.

Arinsal, Andorra: Aigues Juntes - 1790m.

COLLET DE COMA PEDROSA - 2230m

The collet is a small enclosed boggy basin, seen here from its easternmost extreme.

Observe Coma Pedrosa refuge, the halfway house which Phespirit reached at 11:55am, pausing to eat his packed lunch.

Hiking resumed twenty minutes later.

Arinsal, Andorra: Collet De Coma Pedrosa - 2230m.
