Phespirit goes to Andorra

LOOKING DOWN ON ARINSAL

At 3:00pm, five and a half hours after he left Arinsal, Phespirit stood high on the summit of Pic de Coma Pedrosa.

From the top of the mountain, Arinsal could clearly be seen, remote but recognisable to the southeast, a long long way down.

Turning to the southwest, this is the view to Estany Negre, a pure snow-fringed lake.

To pass this lake on the way to the summit it is necessary to cross over the snow .....

..... which is profoundly perilous on a steep slippery slope that plunges into icy water.

And this is Phespirit posing beside a metal pole set in a concrete block at the summit.

His Fiorentina baseball cap is back-to-front to protect his grossly sunburned neck from any further high altitude ultraviolet assaults.
