Pfarrkirche St Anton is towards the eastern end of St Anton, five minutes' walk from the centre and not too far from Phespirit's digs.
This parish church has the most distinctive dome in the valley, but fans of frescoes and fine baroque interiors should check out the church in St Jakob, the next village along.

Phespirit's opening hike from St Anton took him along the Erzherzog-Eugenweg trail to the Alpe Rendl hut, where he stopped for a hard earned ¼ litre of white wine, sitting in a porch listening to the tinkle of cowbells.
This photograph shows the brilliant array of purple flowers seen beside the road to Alpe Rendl (they are there, honest).

The walk from Ferwell to Konstanzer Hütte is long and even and becomes increasingly picturesque with every step.
This is the final kilometre.
