Phespirit goes to France

IF ANYONE, CANNES

All ports along the Côte d'Azur are jammed full of unfeasibly expensive yachts.

Cannes is no exception but Phespirit found this gap; just wide enough to take a picture of the Tour de la Castre in the distance.

On Île Sainte-Marguerite, Phespirit stopped to be photographed at Fort Royal. Thus.

The cannon sits patiently.

THE LAST MOMENT

Phespirit took the ferry from Cannes over to Île Saint-Honorat after a brief midday storm had cleared up. The weather must have put off other would-be visitors as, barring a few monks, Phespirit had the place to himself.

He just about made it back in time to catch the last return ferry after holding out for this sunset snap at the Monastère Fortifié.
