Phespirit goes to Sri Lanka

ELEPHANT MAN

Elephants are big in Sri Lanka.

Phespirit spotted elephants whilst on safari at Yala National Park and as he passed by the outskirts of Minneriya and Uda Walawe National Parks. And here .....

..... at the Pinnewala Elephant Orphanage.

TOAD IN THE HOLE

When Phespirit checked into his cabana at Kalutara and stepped out onto the balcony, the first thing to catch his attention was not the outstanding sea view ..... it was a lizard on the ground below, attempting to swallow a toad three times the size of its head.

He dashed down and took this photo.

BEACH BIRD

Magnificent birdlife of all shapes, sizes and colours abounds throughout Sri Lanka.

This White-throated Kingfisher for example, seen perched on the beach at Kalutara.
