Phespirit goes to Bulgaria

AROUND BANSKO - LINE I - AT 2914m

Phespirit stands upon the summit of Mount Vihren. This was the literal high point of his first hike from Bansko.

It is the highest peak in the Pirin range and the second highest in Bulgaria, just behind Mount Musala (2925m).

AROUND BANSKO - LINE II - AT 2525m

The highest point that Phespirit reached on his second hike was Banderška Porta.

This pole marks the spot.

AROUND BANSKO - LINE III - AT 2330m

Phespirit's third hike took him via Zhabeško Ezero (the 'frog lake'). It may not have been the highest point above sea-level but it was certainly the scenic high point of this hike.

It would have been easy to spend the entire day just resting by these tranquil waters.
