BROKEN BREAKWATER
Many civilisations have left their mark here: Paphos Castle is an Ottoman rebuild of the remnant of a Lusignan castle destroyed by the Venetians. The rocks in the foreground are what's left of an ancient breakwater. |

TOMB 82km north around the coast from Paphos is the ancient rock-cut necropolis area known as the 'Tombs of the Kings' (a misnomer as no 'kings' were ever buried here). 'Tomb 8' reminded Phespirit of the rock-cut monolithic churches of Lalibela in Ethiopia. He really must go there some day ..... |

WHITE CLIFFSAnother 15km north around the coast (4km beyond Coral Bay) stand the White Cliffs. Here Phespirit stands whitely before them. |
