They say there are four million motorcycles in Ho Chi Minh City, and that the city has a total population in excess of six million .....

..... most of whom seem to be on the move at any given time.

These are but a few.

IN A HOLE

The tunnels at Cu Chi were first dug out by anti-colonial Viet Minh forces in the 1940s, and were later extended by the Viet Cong.

These days, outsized tourists like Phespirit enjoy the novelty of squeezing into the tiny subterranean spaces that were once home to starving, desperate freedom fighters.

WITHOUT THE MUSIC

From a sampan cruising around the narrow canals of the Mekong Delta, the visuals are just like those from numerous Vietnam war movies. Without the menacingly discordant soundtrack, however, the actual experience is entirely detached from Hollywood.
