Phespirit goes to Italy

OVER THE MARECCHIA Phespirit's time in Emilia-Romagna and the Marches regions of Italy, together with San Marino, was mostly spent wandering about beneath a fiery sun in a cloudless sky. Here the sun shines upon Phespirit and the Bridge of Tiberius - built between 19BC and 21AD - over the River Marecchia in Rimini.
UNDER THE WEATHER Phespirit's last day in Cattolica started with sunshine and ended with rainclouds. Here is the sky in transition.
ON THE ADRIATIC Cattolica's west Adriatic beaches are broad and sandy, which compares favourably with the rocky coast of Croatia to the east ..... ..... but Phespirit will take a deserted rocky beach ahead of a crowded sandy one every time. At least Cattolica clears at sunset.
