Phespirit goes to Spain

REAL PHESPIRIT

Phespirit made three visits to the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium: the first to buy a ticket for the Spain v Sweden Euro 2008 qualifier; the second to see the match; and the third for a €15 unescorted tour of the ground.

Here he is during the third.

RIOJA & CHIPS

Numerous tiny tabernas and tapas bars are dotted around the back streets of Madrid.

Phespirit liked this one: Taberna Malaspina in Calle de Cádiz, south of Puerta del Sol.

He went for the ½ pollo asado con patatas, and washed it down with the El Coto Rioja.

SAN MARTIN & SAN JUAN

Puente de San Martin is the bridge over the Rio Tajo; beyond it stands the San Juan de los Reyes Monastery.

The west end of the old city provides some of the best photo opportunities in Toledo.
