Phespirit entered this valley twice. On both occasions he found its centre rammed with tourists, but its side branches considerably less busy.
Here is Phespirit on the southeastern spur, sitting outside KV43 Tomb of Tuthmosis IV well away from the crowds.

The Valley of the Queens has fewer visitors than its more celebrated neighbour.
While many tombs are like these - just pits in the ground - Prince Khaemwaset, Queen Tyti and Prince Amunherkhepeshef all have larger tombs with full decoration.

These tombs are located in a mountainside rather than a valley.
Below ground are elite burial places. Above ground are sweeping views across the west bank of the Nile towards Luxor.
