On the easternmost tip of Pulau Ubin is the Chek Jawa Wetlands.
Here is Phespirit on top of the Jejawi Tower in the midst of the wetland mangroves and coastal forests. He rests on a picture of the White-bellied Sea Eagle, two of which flew overhead while he was there.
Despite being close to the huge metropolis of Singapore, St. John's Island was almost deserted when Phespirit visited.
All the better for it.
