Phespirit knew that Iran had mountains and snow, but he wasn't expecting to see them from his hotel bedroom window in Tehran.
This is what they looked like.

This opportunistic snap was taken from the rear gate of the Shah-e-Cheragh Mosque.
Later that evening Phespirit came back and asked permission to visit. He was rewarded with a personal tour and the most generous hospitality imaginable.

The Si-o-Seh bridge crosses the Zayandeh river in Isfahan. It has thirty-three arches, a tea house on one end - in the foreground of this picture - and shallow slabs that can be waded across on the downstream side just behind the tea house.
Phespirit took this photograph after wading.
