Sibiu's most recognisable architecture is at the heart of its three central squares. Other gems are dotted evenly about the city.
The twin towers here, for example, are part of the Orthodox "Saint Trinity" Metropolitan Cathedral, south of the squares.

So for railway enthusiasts and trainspotters everywhere, here is Phespirit with one of 40 vintage engines mothballed at the Museum of Steam Locomotives in Sibiu.

This is not merely a plum-brandy still, but a water-wheel and vineyard press-house too.
They were originally located in Gorj County but, along with umpteen others from across Romania, they have been brought together in the "ASTRA" Museum of Traditional Folk Civilisations. Sadly it no longer works.
